Dear Mr. Panelli,

In the interest of moving forward to decrease stress on our existing
fresh water supplies, I urge to to reconsider your decision to develop
yet another permit process residents of San Francisco have to address
in order to do something that would benefit the good of all. If we
continue to create more unnecessary regulatory hoops for citizens to
comply with, what is the incentive for people to concerve and reuse
their water?

As you know, alot of rigorous thinking, planning and consideration has
gone into this new greywater code. Stakeholders, experts in greywater
reuse and regulatory departments are satisfied with the outcome and
have come to agreement on this after long, arduous and detailed review
of each line item.

What is your motivation is to rethink all of this and create
additional requirments that will discourage any support or incentive
for people to legally comply with city codes? Most people, therefore,
will continue using fresh drinking water to water their landscape
increasing cost, demand and stress to the SF Water Department.

I suggest you create policies that help provide creative insentives
for people to reuse their water in as many ways as possible.

Please join the effort that the rest of California is taking to
support water reuse and conservation.

Respectfully,

Penny Livingston
